He is Sheikh AbdelAziz Al-Amghari, son of the faqîh Mohammed, son of the faqîh Al-Hassan. His lineage goes back to Sayiduna Al-Hassan, grandson of the Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ. He is called « Al-Amghari » after his ancestor, the Spiritual Guide (al-‘ârif bi-Llâh) Abû Abdillah Amghar, who lived in the sixth century of the Hijra.
Born in 1966 in the Doukkala region of Morocco, he grew up in a conservative environment, within a noble (sharifian) family on both his father's and mother's sides; his family followed the Shâdhilî path until he met his Sheikh.
After completing his studies, he returned to Morocco and settled there. He is married and the father of three children.

In 1985, the Sheikh travelled to France to pursue his pharmacy studies. There he met his Sheikh, the knower of ALLAH and pole (qutb) of his time, His Eminence Sheikh Rajab Deeb of Damascus — himself a disciple of Sheikh Ahmad Kuftaro, mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic in his day. He took an oath to engage in dhikr and to walk the path of ALLAH. Their meetings continued throughout his studies, until he obtained his doctorate in pharmacy in 1993.

Sheikh AbdelAziz obtained a bachelor's degree in Islamic studies from Ibn Tofaïl University in Kénitra (Morocco), specializing in fiqh and usûl al-fiqh (the foundations of jurisprudence), in 2012. Sheikh Rajab granted him the ijâza (authorization) to recite the honored Khatm, as well as to teach, preach, give guidance, and call to ALLAH ﷻ.
During his Sheikh's lifetime, he began to draw new interpretations from the verses of the Holy Qur'an, in a renewing style faithful to the pure Law (sharî‘a). Sheikh Rajab said of these interpretations: « May ALLAH grant you forever more of His graces, my son! I had never heard such interpretations of the Book of ALLAH before. »
Sheikh AbdelAziz took part in many Islamic conferences and symposiums, striving to spread his Sheikh's school and his path, made of mercy and wisdom. He also took part in several debates on interfaith dialogue, where he called for the cooperation of the revealed religions in the face of the atheism spreading through all societies. Among his words: « Call creatures to ALLAH, not to Islam: for whoever comes to ALLAH comes to Islam. »
His disciples are spread across the world: Morocco, France, Senegal, Belgium, Cameroon, Comoros, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Switzerland, Brazil, the United States of America, and other parts of the globe.
Most of his lectures are based on drawing out the interpretations of the verses of the Holy Qur'an, explaining the Noble Prophetic Hadiths, presenting the noble qualities (shamâ'il) of the Prophet ﷺ and his virtues, as well as spiritual education. A continuous effort is under way to collect and transcribe the lectures so as to make them accessible to all, in different languages.
He has completed the commentary of the following works:

ALLAH says in the Qur'an: “O you who believe! Fear ALLAH and be with those who are truthful” (At-Tawba, 119). The scholars have explained that “being with the truthful” means accompanying those who are sincere in their faith and practice, for the company of the righteous elevates the soul and brings one closer to ALLAH.
Islamic knowledge has been transmitted from teacher to student since the Prophet ﷺ. This chain of transmission (silsilah) guarantees the authenticity of the teachings of the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
Sheikh AbdelAziz Al-Amghari is an heir of this noble transmission, which goes back directly to the Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ.
Note: the phonetic transcription of the names does not rigorously match their pronunciation in Arabic — some sounds do not exist in English — and is intentionally kept as simple as possible.
